Washing Yu Choy:
1. Take the package of yu choy out of the fridge.
2. In the cupboard, take out a strainer and a big container to wash the yu choy.
3. Place the large container in the sink. Take a strainer and place it on the other sink.
4. Take the yu choy out of the package and place it in the big container.
5. Separate each yu choy apart. Use a knife and cut off the end hard part.
6. Open each yu choy wide and wash it in the water very clean, make sure there is no dirty stuff in the vegetable.
7. Open the cold water and fill the container with water. Take the end part yu choy on each hand. Turn it upside down and separate apart and shake it in the water.
(Note: Make sure all the dirty stuff is out and each vegetable is clean.)
8. Each time a piece is washed, place it in the strainer.
9. Fill the container with water and wash the yu choy four times. when it’s all wash, put it aside.
(Note: make sure it is all clean and have no dirty stuff.)

Cooking Direction:
1. In the cupboard, take out a large pan.
2. Place it on the stove.
3. Pour some water into the large pan. If there is not enough water, then you can add more.
(note: Add just the right amount of water that you need to boil the yu choy.)
4. Turn on the heat to high and cover the lid.
5. Wait until the water is boiling.
6. When the water is boiling, add the yu choy into a large pan and cover the lid.
(Note: Make sure all the yu choy are on the water and nothing is sticking out.)
8. Just wait for it to boil up. Once the water is boiling up, open the lid and keep the lid off.
(Note: Keeping the cover off will prevent the vegetable from being not having a good colour.)
9. When the yu choy is boiling again. Leave it on the water for two more minutes. 
(Note: Do not cook the yu choy too long, it will not stay greenly.)
12. Once it’s ready, turn off the heat and place all the yu choy on a plate and place it on the table.
13. Enjoy.

Boiled Chinese chrysanthemum vegetable

8. Each time a pieces is wash, place it in the strainer.
Fill the container with water and wash the Chinese chrysanthemum vegetable 3-4 times and put it aside
(Note: make sure it is all clean and have no dirty stuff.)

Boiling the pork and Chinese chrysanthemum:
1. In the cupboard take out a pot or a large pan.
2. Place on the stove.
3. Pour some cold water into the pot or a large pan.
6. Turn on the heat to high and cover the lid.
7. Wait for about 10-15 minutes or until the water is boiling
8. When the water is boiling ready, add the Chinese chrysanthemum vegetable into the pot or a large pan and cover the lid for a little a bit.
(Note: Make sure all the Chinese chrysanthemum vegetable pieces are in the water and nothing is sticking out.)
9. When the Chinese chrysanthemum boil up again, take the lid off.
(Note: Keeping the lid open will prevent the vegetable from having a not-good colour.)
8. When the Chinese chrysanthemum vegetable is boiling again. Let it sit and cook in the boiling water for little bit.
10. Once they are ready. Take a tong and place all the Chinese chrysanthemum vegetable into a bowl.

Boiled chicken legs (using an old rice cooker with a congee function)

Boiled chicken legs are so simple to make, and it does not take long. I decided to use an old style rice cooker with a congee fuction to cook the chicken legs. I did not marinate anything. I just put it in the boiling water and boil the chicken legs.
All you need to do is wash and clean the chicken legs. Take off all the dirty stuff off the chicken until it is clean. Fill the slow cooker with water. Put some ginger and onions into the slow cooker. Place the chicken legs into the rice cooker with a congee function. Turn on to low heat and cook for 7 minutes or until the steam comes out. Then turn to low heat. Cook for another 25 minutes. Use scissors and cut a piece of it to check if it’s all well-done. If you see no blood or pink showing, that means it is ready.

Cleaning the chicken legs:
1. Put on a pair of dishwasher gloves.
2. Take the chicken out of the package.
3. Wash the chicken.

7. Rinse the chicken.
8. If you still see dirty, clean it some more.
9. Put some salt all around the chicken.

13. If you already have chicken legs in the freezer, take out the frozen chicken legs and put it in the microwave to defrost.

Preparation:

1. Take a ginger. Peel the skins.
2. Cut 7-8 pieces of ginger into slices.
3. In the bag, take onions and peel the skins.
4. Place the onion on a cutting board. Put it on the side and cut into round pieces.

Cooking process:
1. Take out a rice cooker that has a congee function. Plug in the plug
2. Fill the rice cooker with water. The amount you need to cook the chicken legs.
3. Put 6 pieces of sliced ginger into the rice cooker.
4. Put on the dishwasher gloves.
5. Rinse the 3 chicken legs.
6. Put it into the slow cooker.
7. Put some onions into the slow cooker.
8. Turn on to rice cooker. Cook for 7 minutes or until the slow cooker steam starts to come out.
9. When the slow cooker starts to have steam coming out, turn it to slow cook.
10. Cook for another 25 minutes.
(Note: Do not over cook the chicken, or it will become tough.)
11. When 25 minutes are ready. Take a piece of chicken out of the slow cooker. Use a pair of scissors and cut to check if there is any blood or pink inside. If it’s not ready, that means you need to cook it a bit longer.
12. Once ready. Use a tong and take out all the chicken legs and place it on a plate and set it on the table.
13. Enjoy.

Boiled bok choy with ginger

8. Each time a pieces of shanghai bok choy is wash, place it in the strainer.
9. Repeat the same step by washing the shanghai bok choy 4-5 times.

Preparing the ginger:
1. Take a ginger.
2. Place it onto a cutting board.
3. Cut into slice pieces
4. put it into a bowl and set it aside.

Cooking Direction:
1. In the cupboard take out a pot or a large pan.
2. Place on the stove.
3. Pour some cold water into the large pan.
4. Turn on the heat to high and cover the lid.
5. Wait for about 10-15 minutes or until the water is boiling
6. When the water starts boiling, add in the bok choy and ginger into the large pan and cover the lid.
(Note: Make sure all the shangai bok choy pieces are in the water and nothing is sticking out.)
9. Wait for the bok choy to boil up again. It might take around 5-6 mintues
8. When the bok choy is boiling again. Let it sit and cook in the boiling water for 4 minutes.
9. When 4 minutes is ready. Open the lid and take a fork or a cooking spatula and touch to see if the bok choy is soft.
10. When the bok choy is soft that mean tit is ready. If they are still hard. You need to cook it a bit longer.
11. Once they are soft and ready. Turn off the heat and place all the boy choy onto a plate and place it on the table.
12. Enjoy.

Boiled shrimp

This is a plate of shrimps, simple and easy to make, and it does not take long. When buying from shrimp, they come in different sizes and brands. I decided to use big shrimps. The big shrimp I use are from a brand called tiger. Usually you can find tiger shrimp at a Chinese supermarket. They are easy to wash and do not contain any cleaning. Making these shrimps is fast and easy. All you need to do is take a package of shrimp from the freezer, open the package and take out as many pieces of shrimps you will eat and put it in the strainer. Rinse the shrimp.
Some shrimps need to be clean or have a strong smell. All you need to do is put some salt on the shrimp to clean the fresh smell out of the shrimp and rinse until you see no more bubble. Open the water and soak the shrimp in running water for 10-15 minutes. When there is no more fresh smell. You can start to use the shrimp.
I cook the shrimps because they cook fast. I decided not to remove the shells. If you like, you can remove the shells. I decided to boil the shrimps in a frying pan. They shrimps need to be boiled in boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Do not overcook the shrimp, or it will not taste good. Once done, place it onto a small plate.

Preparing the shrimp:
1. Take the package of shrimp out of the freezer.
2. Open the package and pour out as many shrimps as you need to cook on a strainer.
3. Rinse the shrimps.
4. Remove all the shells from the shrimps. (optional)
5. When all is done. Rinse the shrimps and set them aside.

Cooking process:
1. In the cupboard, take a non-stick pan and place it on the stove.
2. Turn the heat to high.
3. Put some water into the pan.
4. When the heat is hot, Pour the strainer of shrimps into the pan.
(Note: Keep an eye on the shrimps because they cook fast.)
5. Close the lid and let it cook in boiling water for 3-4 minutes.
6. When the shrimps are well-done. Turn the heat off.
7. Use a tong and put all the shrimps onto a bowl and place it on the table.

Hotdogs

These are boiled hot dogs, which are simple to make. When making this hot dog, I used regular size hot dogs that you used to make the hot dog buns to make hot dogs. When buying hot dogs from a supermarket, there are many different kinds of brands. Some hotdogs comes in spicy, mild or none spicy. It all depends on your preference taste.
Making these hot dogs is a fast and easy way that everyone can make. All you need to do is take a package of hot dogs, whether it’s in the fridge or the freezer. Open the package. Take out as many pieces of hot dogs, you will eat and put it in the strainer. Rinse the hot dogs and set it aside.
Take out a sauce pot and put in some water. Turn the heat to high. Pour the strainer of hot dogs into the sauce pot. Cook the hot dogs in water until it starts boiling. When the water starts boiling, you will see the hot dog expand big. Let the hot dogs sit in boiling water for 5 minutes. Once ready, take a plate. Use a tong and place all the hot dogs onto a plate and set it on the table. I decided to place the hotdog in a colourful plate to look nice and brighten the colour of the hotdogs.

1. Take the package of hot dog out of the freezer.
2. Take out as many hot dogs as many needed to eat and put it in the strainer.
3. Rinse the hot dog and put it over a bowl to prevent the water from dripping everywhere.
4. Put it aside.
5. In the cupboard, take out a sauce pan and put it on the stove.
6. Put some water in.
7. Turn the heat to high.
8. Pour the hot dogs into the sauce pan and close the lid.
9. When the water starts boiling, you will see the hot dogs expand big.
10. Let it sit and cook in the boiling water for 5 minutes.
11. When the time is up, turn off the heat.
12. Take a tong and put all the hot dogs on to a plate and set it on the table.

Boiled broccoli

Boiled broccoli is very simple to make. It does not take long and very healthy. When boiling the broccoli, it came out so green and perfectly. It’s very delicious. I like this dish a lot.
Before you rinse the broccoli’s, you can peel off the hard strip parts at the bottom of the stem to prevent the broccolis from being crunchy. If you like it crunchy, you can keep it the way it is. If you, remove the stem strip parts. You need to cook it to tender.
This dish goes well with rice or noodles whichever you choose as your desire. I recommend making the broccoli tender easier for the kids to eat. If you are a vegetarian, this plate of broccoli’s can be the perfect dish to make.

White radish topped with green onions (using a rice cooker)

This is a boiled white radish topped with green onions. This is the 4th time I have used a rice cooker to boil the white radish. I did not add any seasoning. Just simple and natural. Boiling food is very healthy. A white radish can be found at most supermarkets.

9. Place it onto a cutting board and cut into small pieces.

If you have never eaten the white radish, you can give it a try. When you make a lot, you can have it throughout the day. If you are a vegetarian, this can be a perfect dish to make. Try the recipe and enjoy.

Preparing the white radish:
1. Take the white radish out of the fridge.
2. Take a cutting board and cut the white radish in half, or you can use the whole white radish.
(Note: If not using the other half, you can wrap it up with a plastic wrapper and put it in the fridge to use next time.)
3. Take a knife peeler and peel off the skin directly into the garbage.
4. Place the white radish on a cutting board. Take a knife and place it at an angle. While in each turn, cut the white radish into pieces and put it directly into a mixing bowl.
5. When all is cut up and put into the mixing bowl, rinse the white radish and set it aside.

Cooking the white radish:
1. Take out a rice cooker. Plug in the plug
2. Fill the rice cooker with water. The amount you need to boil.
3. Turn the rice cooker to rice cook. Wait for the water to start boiling.
4. When the water starts boiling add in the White radish into the rice cooker.
5. Boiled and simmer in the rice cooker for 20-25 minutes.
6. When the water starts boiling again and 25 minutes is ready. Take a pieces of
white radish and taste if it’s tender. You can also take a fork and if it goes through the white radish,
that means it is ready. If not, you need to cook it a bit longer.
7. Once ready and tender, take a skimmer spoon and scoop up all white radish and put it on the plate
and place it onto the table.
8. Take some green onions. Rinse the green onions.
9. Place it onto a cutting board and cut into small pieces.
10. Sprinkle some green onions on top of the white radish.
